The Client

Free Black Millennials aims to provide the cultural initiative to educate, celebrate, heal and entertain with the function of promoting social and systematic change. The podcast aims to do so through amplifying the unique voices of artists, upcoming pioneers, scholars, everyday civilians and world changers.

The Project

My task was to create an ad poster for FBM's new web series, "What Y'all Doin???". The poster concept was to create illustrations of each of the six cast members in a stylized way, highlighting some of their key features or accessories. This led to an abstract representation of them in a group zoom call, on a computer screen. In the web series, the cast members are on a zoom call with eachother due to covid social distancing while they chat about various topics, both serious and light-hearted.

The goals were for the design to be bold, high contrast, fun, youthful, and impactful, much like the topics in the web series.
